アナログ回路とディジタル回路の統一的な取り扱いおよびトランジスタレベルのCMOSアナログ回路の具体的設計法を学びます。例えば、無線ネットワークLSI、センサLSIなどの設計やアーキテクチャを理解するために必要な基礎知識となります。本科目は、実際に回路開発を行う必要のある学生が、シミュレータをツールとしてLSIの回路設計を行えるようになることを目標としますが、本科目の内容を理解することにより、PSoCなどのプログラマブルデバイスや市販LSIを用いた設計においても、LSIのデータシートから性能や制約を理解し、性能を引き出すことができるようになります。ただし、実際の回路設計技術を理解する必要がなく、幅広く概念や技術動向のみを知りたい人には、本科目よりもテクノロジトレンド工学の受講をお薦めします。

In this course, the students will develop an integrated view on circuit design, layout design, modeling with hardware description language (HDL), and simulation of CMOS analog and mixed signal circuits. The circuit parameters are associated with the device parameters of metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFET), and have to be optimized based on the specification of the entire circuit system. The practical design examples are provided in the lab exercises and the students will learn to robust design with the analog circuit simulation in consideration of the process variation. Furthermore, this course provides the top-down design methodology of analog-to-digital converters (ADC) and digital-to-analog converters (DAC) in digital-audio and wireless communication systems.
